PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING TWO COPIES TO TRYOUTS IN TWO SEPARATE ENVELOPES TO BE ELIGIBLE TO TRYOUT.

SBA Tryouts require that a medical form be filled out and turned in.  PLEASE ALSO NOTE YOU MUST BRING TWO COPIES, IN SEPARATE ENVELOPES OF YOUR MEDICAL RELEASE FORM IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE.

TRYOUT SCHEDULE:

9TH GRADE ONLY (Seniors should also report):  August 16th, 8am-11am.  Initial selections will be made and players will be invited back to final session later THE SAME DAY.

10TH - 12TH ONLY:  1130AM-230PM.  Initial selections will be made and players will be invited back to the final tryout session later THE SAME DAY.

FINAL TRYOUT SESSION (All previously selected players will report).  4PM-7PM.

ALL FINAL SELECTIONS WILL BE MADE AND TEAMS DEFINED AT END OF DAY AUGUST 16TH.  AFTER EACH SESSION, THE COACHING STAFF WILL BE AVAILABLE TO DISCUSS ANY CONCERNS.

This should be turned in with 2 copies, in separate envelopes.  They must be turned in at the door the first day of tryouts to allow participation in the tryout process.

August 10-14 for OPTIONAL workout week

As most of you know, SBA Volleyball coaching style is based on John Wooden and his pyramid and principles.

John Wooden died Friday June 3, 2010 of natural causes at age 99.

We have all learned a lot from John and he has left us great artifacts to keep moving our learning forward in coaching, players' mental game, and overall life lessons.

Although John was a basketball coach, his principles spanned all sports and SBA volleyball tenets are based on this teachings.

Thank you John for all you have contributed to players' and coaches.  You will be missed, but never forgotten.
